Natural Gas. Southwestern Power.
Coming soon to Steele Road, Pinal County, Arizona
Steele Energy Center (SEC) is a proposed up to 1800 MW natural gas-fired generation power plant located in central Pinal County, Arizona, southwest of Coolidge and east of Casa Grande. The project’s generation resources will provide essential energy to the regional grid, which is strained due to unprecedented load growth, increasingly frequent extreme weather events, and greater reliance on intermittent resources.
